The Imatra region's environmental action monitors the quality of swimming pool water in the pools, which the public has the opportunity to enter either for a fee or free of charge. Such pools are e.g. in swimming pools, spas, rehabilitation facilities, hotels, country swimming pools, educational institutions and other similar facilities.
Monitoring is carried out in accordance with the monitoring research programs of the reservoirs. The monitoring research program is drawn up by the institution's administrator in cooperation with the health protection authority and it defines e.g. sampling frequency. In addition to monitoring the water quality, the cleanliness of the swimming pool area and adjacent premises is monitored. The latest inspection results with their statements must be visible to the users of the pool. The Ministry of Social Affairs and Health has issued Decree 315/2002 on the quality requirements and control studies of pool water in swimming pools and spas.
