The purpose of ventilation is to maintain healthy and comfortable indoor air in the building. The ventilation system removes the resulting pollutants and brings in outside air as replacement air. Pollutants are, for example, odors and odors originating from human activities as well as moisture, radon gas from the soil, or chemicals released from building and decoration materials. The outdoor air flow for ventilation must be directed indoors in a controlled manner and must be sufficient in accordance with the use of the building and sufficiently clean in quality. Ventilation should be arranged in such a way that the indoor air changes in the entire living area.
The outside air flow of the apartment's ventilation should normally be at least 0,35 dm during use3/s per square meter in all living rooms. This means e.g. 100 m2 in the apartment, that 35 liters of air enters and leaves every second.

TIP: Test ventilation; does a sheet of kitchen paper or, for example, one page of an advertising magazine (A4) stay tightly closed in the exhaust valve due to the suction. If not, the ventilation is somewhat ineffective.
