Effect of the procedure

The efficiency of bioheat production increases (heat can be produced with a smaller amount of fuel).

Situation in December 2021:

The technical-economic report is being worked on. The implementation of the measure has been postponed. District heat production at Imatra is already CO2-free, so the scrubber does not directly reduce CO2 emissions.

Situation in May 2022:

Not implemented for the time being.
