GUIDELINES FOR OUTDOOR ADVERTISING FOR REGIONAL AND MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS 2025
Outdoor advertising of the elections is allowed in the licensed areas of the city of Imatra only in the places designated by the city and it may start on Wednesday 26.3.2025 May XNUMX.
The map attached below shows the locations of the election advertising stands installed by the city. There are a total of 10 of these locations. Election advertisements can be used on both sides in all locations. The size of the advertisement is 84 x 122 cm. The erection and removal of the stands is handled by the City of Imatra.
The city has reserved a maximum of 20 pieces of plywood per party (10 for regional elections and 10 for municipal elections) for election advertisements. These can be picked up from the outdoor storage of the Sienimäki Business Building (Pikkutatinkuja 3) on Wednesday, March 19.3.2025, 14 between 16 p.m. and XNUMX p.m.
Foreman Jukka Kunnas acts as the city's contact person in matters related to outdoor billboards, jukka.kunnasimatrankipa.fi (jukka[dot]kunnas[at]imatrankipa[dot]fi), tel. 040 572 8036. If necessary, you can arrange an alternative pick-up time with him during office hours on weekdays.
Addition 13.3.2025: Below you will find the attached file of the order of the parties on the advertising racks based on the order drawn in the municipal and regional elections, which must be followed. The racks are filled from left to right so that the municipal election candidate advertisements of the seven (7) parties that have nominated candidates for the municipal elections in Imatra appear first. After that, the candidate advertisements of the eleven (11) parties/voters' associations that have nominated candidates for the regional elections are placed in the order mentioned.
IMPORTANT: According to the Elections Act, it is not allowed to make speeches, publish or distribute printed or written exhortations or otherwise influence or attempt to influence voters' freedom of choice at a general early voting place, election day polling place or in their immediate vicinity.
In practice, this means, among other things, that election advertisements should not be placed in the vicinity of early voting places or polling places in such a way that they can be considered to influence the voter's choice. Thus, for example, election advertisements must not be displayed in the election apartment or they must not be placed on the advertising spots on the front doors of supermarkets that serve as early voting locations.
Please forward the message to your local authorities.
Best regards,
On behalf of the central election board of the city of Imatra,
Antti Valpas
Secretary of the Central Election Commission
