Nominate a candidate for the Senior Citizens' Association of the Year award

Who or what organization has promoted the cause of the elderly in Imatra? Nominate an award for the City of Imatra by September 20th. The annual prize of 500 euros is now being awarded for the third time.

The Imatra Senior Citizens of the Year Award aims to draw attention to the elderly and encourage those who support them. Elderly people are generally considered to be those over the age of 75. They make up just under a fifth of the population of Imatra, about four and a half thousand. 

Elderly people often need support with housing solutions, digital services, nurturing social relationships, hobbies, exercise, or maintaining health. However, the majority of elderly people live normal everyday lives like other residents of Imatra.

The Senior Citizens' Council will use a public call for suitable candidates to receive the award and will make a decision on the recipient based on these. The nominee can be anyone.

Nominate a recipient of the senior citizen's act of the year award.
