The city of Imatra organizes early childhood education, pre-primary education, basic education, upper secondary education, basic art education and free educational work services.
Three new school centers were built in Imatra in 2017-2021. For example, Mansikkala rose Finland's largest woodworking school. With high-quality buildings, we want to guarantee healthy and modern learning environments for children and young people. At the same time, the facilities of the daycare centers will also be renewed. The idea in all school centers is that the student's transition on the academic path is as flexible as possible.
Imatra is in the digital era the top municipalities of the country. Students in grades 3-9 have personal tablets. Students in early childhood education, pre-primary education and grades 1-2 have group-specific tablets.
The new school centers are built so that the children's trips to school are not long anywhere in the city. In addition, the city offers school transport for all small students more than three kilometers away.
