Domestic and wastewater usage fees will rise by seven percent in January

Imatra water's economic and waste water usage fees will increase by seven percent at the beginning of January. 

New prices for water and wastewater from 1.1.2023 January XNUMX:

• Water €1,87/m3 (VAT 0%), €2,32/m3 (VAT 24%)
• Waste water €2,81/m3 (VAT 0%). €3,49/m3 (VAT 24%).

The increase will increase the water bill of an average two-person household by approximately 2,97 euros per month. In a year, the fee increases by an average of 35,70 euros.

There will be no changes to other Imatra Water prices.

The reason behind the price change is the increased procurement costs of electrical energy and materials.

—The increase in costs can be seen especially as components and building materials become more expensive. The cost of the renovation of the Imatra wastewater plant also affects the price change, water supply manager Kari Pietarinen says.

The decision on water and wastewater prices has been made by the city council.
