The Municipal Act obliges municipalities and municipal associations to report the affiliations of trustees and senior office holders in the public information network.
The starting point is that the reporting party itself is responsible for making the affiliation notification. The announcement must be made within two months of being selected for the position.
In connection with its supervisory duty, the Audit Board has the possibility to call on the reporting party to make a new report or supplement an already submitted report.
The notification of commitment does not remove the obligation to notify of disability in municipal decision-making. Obstacles are resolved on a case-by-case basis in accordance with the regulations of the Municipal Act and the Administrative Act.
The information is published on the city's website, unless the regulations on confidentiality dictate otherwise. The audit committee notifies the city council of the affiliation notices once a year.
