In basic music studies, music is studied goal-oriented according to the curriculum of the extensive music curriculum of basic art education. The studies consist of solo playing lessons, group music making, mupe studies and performance and listening education. Learning to play music is of course an essential part of the studies, but the most specific goals in the studies are promoting the well-being of children and young people and arousing the joy of music. At best, music makes you a friend for the rest of your life - and it doesn't require a professional career!
Your music teacher is the most important contact person during your studies. He directs the student to suitable collective music making groups and mupe studies, coaches for performances and tells about concert opportunities. Our teaching is student-oriented, and students have good opportunities to influence the course of their own studies. Even though studying is goal-oriented, it does not mean a strict schedule for canning various performances. At the beginning of each school year, my teacher makes a personal curriculum for the student together with the student and the family, in which the goals for the school year are recorded together. You should always talk about your wishes with the teacher - they will be taken into account.
A student can get a certificate of completion of basic studies after completing skill levels 1, 2 and 3 in their instrument, skill levels 1 - 4 of mupe studies, and after participating in collective music making sufficiently extensively. The calculated scope of basic studies is 800 hours.
From the basic studies, the student can, if he wishes, continue with advanced studies, which already provide preparation for professional studies in music. The calculated scope of advanced colleges is 500 hours.
