There are four beaches in Imatra that are maintained by the city of Imatra, two of these are located by lake Saimaa and two are by lake Immalanjärvi.
The quality of water at Ukonlinna beach is excellent, and it is so-called EU-beach. Other beaches are small public beaches that have not been defined a quality of water grade. The cleanness and the quality of water are monitored frequently. The beaches are not supervised.
There is also a hostel with restaurant and sauna. There are also facilities for playing beach volleyball.

The bottom of the lake is of sand and gravel and the shore is rather shallow. There are changing cubicles and an outhouse toilet.

Sand beach that is shallow for a long way and then steeps rather suddenly. There are changing cubicles at the beach, and the beach is located by lake Immalanjärvi.
Lempeenlietteentie 60, 55420 Imatra
Rather shallow shore with sand bottom by lake Saimaa. There are changing cubicles and an outhouse toilet.
Lammassaarentie 66, 55420 Imatra
Long, rather shallow beach by lake Saimaa. There are changing cubicles, toilet and two beach volleyball courts.
The quality of water is excellent according to official standards.

Other beaches in Imatra
There is a maintained beach in Vuoksi fishing park in Varpasaari. The residents’ association of Niskalampi maintains a beach at the harbour of Niskampi by lake Saimaa.
