

Strength for old age strength training group is organized twice a year, in spring, winter and autumn. The group meets twice a week for eight weeks in the gymnasium of the sports hall, and fitness is improved with muscle strength and balance training. Group members are given initial and final tests related to functional ability.
The group is intended for the elderly (75+) who have problems with physical functioning, beginning memory disorders, mild depression or experience loneliness. The price is €32,50.
After the strength training group, the group members can continue in the groups offered by the sports services at Imatra's sports hall and swimming pool.

The group is intended for people if, for example, walking has slowed down and getting up from a chair and/or climbing stairs has become difficult. Exercising gives you more strength to survive at home.
