Vuoksenniska nature trail

The nature trail goes around Salpauselä in the terrain between Torikatu and the Kaukopää factory area. The route is not suitable for people with reduced mobility. We sometimes deviate from the ready-made trails into grassy terrain, so good outdoor shoes are necessary in rainy weather.

The nature trail's guidebook presents all the usual trees and bushes of the fabric forest as well as the ferns, grasses, mosses and lichens of the field and ground layer. The typical birds and mammals of the forest area are also told. Some of the stalls present topics related to forest management and environmental protection, as well as questions related to the history of the region.
