Construction waste sorting

The Kukkuroinmäki waste center receives various types of waste from construction, business and industry, for example

soil ingredients
wood and wood-based materials
twigs and garden waste
metal
glass
energy waste.

The waste is primarily diverted to beneficial use. If the waste is not suitable for reuse, it can be placed in the Kukkuroinmäki waste center's normal or hazardous waste landfill.

A separate landfill eligibility report is required for waste placed in a landfill (other than municipal waste).
