

The development grant is an allocation approved by the Imatra city council, which is intended for the use of village committees, residents' associations and private individuals to develop the physical environment of residential areas and improve comfort.
In 2023, 40 euros of development money will be distributed.
The purpose of development money is to arouse residents' interest in improving and developing their living environment. Funds can be applied for from the allocation for projects that are implemented independently or in cooperation with one of the city's industries.
Development money is a one-time grant. Priority is given to separate projects aimed at the development, improvement and maintenance of residential and living environments.
The subsidy is not granted for the construction or purchase of new buildings.
If the project is implemented on land owned by the city, a written agreement on land use must be made with the city.
The applicant must ensure the need for building permits etc. for the project and apply for the necessary permits.
Individuals, organizations, neighborhood associations, village committees, parents' committees and other communities from Imatra can apply for assistance.
The subsidy is not granted separately to joint-stock/housing companies. The development grant is intended for the development and/or renovation of areas shared by all residents of the residential area.
The building control division decides on the distribution of development money.
The condition for granting the grant is that the applicant does not receive a grant for the same purpose from any other city industry. The grant application must be accompanied by a cost estimate of the project with possible bids, an explanation of the share of own financing and/or the share of maintenance work.
Subsidy is not granted for the purchase of tools or foodstuffs (eg power tools, tools equipped with a combustion engine, instant coffee and buns). Supplies, materials and rental tools are included in the grants.
The subsidy is paid only to objects approved in the preliminary inspection and found to be completely ready in the final inspection.
The grant is paid against acceptable documents. The receipts must have the signature/verification of the person in charge and the recipient of the subsidy. The grant is granted on the condition that the applicant(s) undertakes to submit an explanation of how the project was implemented and how it was successful, as well as how the granted funds were used, along with the invoice. The invoices and the attached report must be submitted to the building control at the latest 15.11.2023.
The city can request additional information about the project from the applicant or the entity that made the proposal.
The application must be submitted 14.4. 15.00 p.m.. Primarily should be used electronic form. Alternatively, the application can be submitted on paper to the customer service of the building control of the city of Imatra during office hours, room 208 or by e-mail to building controlimatra.fi.
