Let's reduce the need for personnel to move by favoring remote work and remote meetings and enabling remote work.

Effect of the procedure

Remote work and remote meetings reduce commuting emissions. Even one day a week remotely (48 weeks/year) corresponds to an emission reduction of about 200 kg CO2-eq. per year.

The situation in December 2021:

In the period 12/2020-11/2021, working remotely saved a total of 95278 km i.e. approx 14.48 t CO2e. 

Situation in May 2010:

The procedure started in December 2020. Between December 2020 and April 2021, remote working saved a total of 39 km, or approx. 6 tCO2e.

Nepton's time monitoring service is used by 160 people in the city of Imatra. Emissions are made visible through monitoring. The measure will be further developed in the city in 2021 by the commuter transport development project. 

Situation in May 2022:

The remote work recommendation has been in effect throughout the beginning of 2022.
