Water outage at the border monument on Wednesday 18.2.
Repair work on the broken pipe will continue today and tomorrow, but water supply will be restored to everyone during the day.
A pipe burst was discovered in a challenging location on Rastikuja Street on Tuesday morning, February 17.2. The leak is located under an electrical cabinet, an electricity pole, and a telephone pole at Rastikuja Street 11.
Repair work will start on Wednesday at 8 am, which will require the water supply to be cut off in the apartment buildings at Piirukuja 2 and Suuntakatu 1 and 4, as well as in properties 1—20 on Rastikuja.
— We will inform residents of the area about the water outage via text message and home delivery, says the network manager. Kari Mäkelä from Imatran Vesi.
The aim is to restore water supply to the apartment buildings by the afternoon of the same day. Due to the challenging location, the work may take longer and the water may also be outage.
Residents are advised to reserve water in advance for the duration of the outage.
"We will inform residents when the situation is resolved. If there is a need for water use during the outage, we will provide it to residents if necessary," Mäkelä promises.
Residents of Piirukuja 2, Suuntakatu 1 and 4, and Rastikuja 1—20 can request water during a water outage by calling 020 617 4333.
The repairs will cause some disruption to traffic on Rastikuja.

Hi, we're sorry...
Hey, we apologize for the situation!
If your phone number is secret or registered in a different place than your place of residence, a text message cannot be sent automatically via the text messaging service.
If you would like to receive messages via SMS in the future, you can provide your phone number to Imatra Water by email to imatranvesi@imatra.fi
Otherwise, no information was sent home...
Otherwise, no text message was sent to the home, and no notice was delivered to the home, only a small note on the front door that I found when I went to wonder after I had taken a shower and there was no water. That is not sufficient information because the residents may not go outside for several days, e.g. due to illness, as is the case with me now!!!!!
