Work on the corner site will be paused for the winter
The Napinkulma has now been demolished and the construction site has quieted down. The fences around the site will remain in place over the winter, awaiting the construction of the surface structures in the area.
Work will continue in April once a contractor has been selected.
Area ready for use by the end of June
During the spring and early summer, the area will be asphalted and planting ponds, yard structures, and a climbing frame will be built. The area will be available for use during the major events starting at the end of June. However, the area will not be completely finished by then, and there is still plenty of work to do until the fall.
The end of the Koskenkulma building will be resurfaced following the demolition of Napinkulma, when the asphalting of the area is complete.
— An art wall is also planned to be built in the area this year, says the land use manager. Erik Forstén from the city.

Does that place need...
Is there even a need for a new building in that location, especially since the current architecture is often what it is? It is somehow challenging to fit a modern building into that location. And in terms of market conditions, it may be difficult to find users for the building, even if the location is the best. Maybe the square is a good solution in the long run. The end of Buteri's house does need a mural or some other freshening up.
Mini golf on the driveway to the center…
Mini golf next to the driveway in the city center sounds hmmm...Well, like Imatra
