The search for a project manager is underway.

The development of Imatrankoski is one of the goals of the city strategy. Its implementation takes a step forward with the new Elävä Imatrankoski project.

The project has received EUR 100 in Regional Sustainable Growth and Vitality (AKKE) funding from the South Karelia Association. In addition to this, the city's own contribution is 000 euros. The city government gave the green light to the self-financing part at the beginning of June. The implementation of the project has already started and will continue until the end of 25.

- In the first phase of the project, we will draw up a development plan based on the strategic guidelines and the needs identified in the Imatrankoski working group for the development of the city center. After that, the measures recorded in the plan are activated. In this work, we will make use of the reports and plans made earlier, vitality director Susanna Issakainen says.

Looking for a project manager

We are looking for a project manager for the project who will coordinate the plan and development measures, so that talk can actually be translated into action. The position of project manager is open for applications today.

- We are looking for a project manager whose tasks include not only project measures, but also other strategic development tasks. We require a self-directed and developing work attitude. We value project expertise and experience in applying for external funding and project management.

The project manager is expected to start as soon as possible after selection. The employment relationship is temporary and will last until the end of 2024.
