The city is capitalizing Mitra Management
The City of Imatra is capitalizing its subsidiary Mitra Management Oy, which focuses on renting out business premises.
The city government gets on Monday 3.11. to decide on a proposal according to which the city will make an investment of 4 million euros in the company this year in the invested unrestricted equity fund and grant the company a capital loan of a maximum of 1,75 million euros per year over the next three years.
The purpose of the financing is to secure the company's long-term operating conditions. In addition, the financing will be used for the company's business premises investments, including: Delete ja Nordic Nano new office premises.
The amount of debt has decreased, but is still high
The company's business is profitable and its EBITDA margin is better than the industry average. The debt has been reduced as planned in recent years. The previous capitalization program, approved in 2022, ended last year.
However, the loan stock and repayments remain high. In addition, the changed market situation in recent years has caused financial challenges.
In addition to capitalization, the company is developing its operations, among other things: by streamlining its corporate structureIn addition, Mitra Management is updating its business plan and real estate strategy.
The city is also buying housing shares
It will also be proposed to the City Board on Monday that the city purchase the housing shares in the Imatran Lemmikki, Imatran Marioninpolku and Imatran Koskentori housing companies from Mitra Management. This will allow the company to focus on business premises and clarify the city group's housing assets.
The transaction will not affect the lease agreements signed with Mitra Management. The lease agreements will be transferred to the new owner, the City of Imatra.
