The City Board began consideration of the 2026 budget yesterday, Monday, and today, Tuesday.

—The annual profit target is defined in the strategy and we want to stick to that target. We are reaching the target, but it still requires work from the entire organization, the chairman of the city council Tomi Kovanen says.

The budget will continue to be discussed in October with preparations by officials and committees. The City Council will meet to discuss the budget next time at the end of October.

The city council will give final approval to the budget in December.
