Next year, investments will be made in infrastructure, Imatrankoski Rapids, and leisure facilities, among other things.

The City Council approved the 2026 budget today.

There are nine key goals for next year. They include, among other things, the development of the Ukonniemi area, the further development of the Vääräntalo plot, and the promotion of special housing area preparation.

In 2026, 9,7 million euros will be invested. The investment list includes, among other things, the renovation of the Meltola and Sotkulampi areas, asphalting, drainage improvements, and the completion of the renovation of the Vuoksenniska field.

Taxation will remain at the 2025 level.
