The elimination of the waste fee means that the property is no longer required to be part of the municipal waste management system, meaning that no waste management fees will be charged for it.
The complete removal of the waste fee is only possible for properties that are in a condition that is unsuitable for residential use. The unusability of the property must be proven, for example, with photographs or other reliable documents.
The fact that a property is not in use is therefore not a reason for the waste fee to be completely waived. For an unused property, you can apply for either reasonable waste fee (use of a regional collection point) or interruption of waste transport (use of your own waste container). However, the obligation to pay basic and official fees remains until the property is proven to be unsuitable for residential use.
