Rehearsals for the Kultaranta summer theater play have started
The rehearsals of the Imatra summer theater have started quickly. The performance has been rehearsed for almost two weeks. The screenwriters of the Kultaranta play Satu Rasila ja Paavo Westerberg have updated the text for Teatteri Imatra, which means that President Sauli Niinistö and Dr. Jenni Haukio are also involved. The play features numerous characters, and each actor has dozens of costume changes. A set designer for the sets of the show Karmo Mende has sought inspiration from the presidents' summer residence in Kultaranta and its garden.
— The show is funny and finds real human sides in the presidents instead of statuary. Comedy is on the edge of time, because Finland is about to elect a new president in January 2024. The show will also feature a few musical numbers, reveals the director Timo Rissanen.
On Thursday, there was an enthusiastic and relaxed atmosphere in the working group's exercises. Actors will be seen in the roles of the Kultaranta play Pirja Arponen, Antti Laukkarinen, Lotta Lindroos, Heikki Pöyhä ja Sauli Suonpää. The performances of the summer theater continue on 30.7. until. Friday 28.7. we will see a traditionally atmospheric night performance that starts at 21 p.m.
