More light and new play equipment for Imatra's playgrounds

This coming summer, the playground equipment will be renewed and lighting will be installed. 

The play equipment to be renovated includes swings, climbing frames, slides and spring swings. At the same time, their safety platforms will be renovated.

– There is no specific schedule for playground equipment and lighting, but work will be done throughout the summer between June 1.6 and August 31.8.2025, XNUMX, says the city gardener. Erika Luhtanen.

During the work, playgrounds will be fenced off and walking and playing will be prevented.

The earthworks, i.e. the installation of lighting bases and cables, will be carried out according to the preliminary schedule:

• Tinttikallio, Niskalampi, Sienimäki and Metsäpelto next week, i.e. week 24
• Sarakuja, Kymälahti during Midsummer week, i.e. week 25
• Tinakatu, Savikanta and Paajala after Midsummer, i.e. week 26

The lighting pole installation will be done later in the summer.
