In the future, bus line 6 will also run through Sienimäki

Release
24.1.2023 14:48
The change will take effect on Monday, January 30.1.2023, XNUMX.

It is hoped that the additional route of Line 6 through Sienimäki will remove congestion from the morning school trips of Line 3. Local traffic has had a capacity problem in the morning in the Sienimäki area.

Bus congestion is partly due to the large number of free cards currently in use.

- The route change does not cause any changes to the schedule of line 6, says the maintenance engineer Kaisa Pohjola.

As a result, one side of the line will have an additional distance of about 1,6 kilometers.

Notices about the change will also be sent to Sienimäki stops.

I agree that no…

I agree that the bus schedules are not planned correctly. Buses 6 and 2 to Itä-Siitola come almost at the same time. Wouldn't it be wise to stagger these. There are also no further connections to other buses and trains. Otherwise, bus traffic is a comfortable and ego-friendly way to get around. Wisdom and strength for planning...

Would there be any way...

Would it be possible to move the bus that leaves Vuoksenniska towards Jakola on weekdays at 19.10:19.15 p.m. to leave at XNUMX:XNUMX p.m.? There is no way I can get to that bus from work and I have to wait almost an hour for the next one. The earlier shifts leave over a quarter of an hour later, which is really good.

The route of bus line 6 would be…

At least during the renovation of the old Mansikkala bridge, the route of bus line 6 could have made a stop at the beginning of Keskuskatu through its first bus stops. As I recall, this was how it was a year ago on bus route 3, or was it just an experiment or a summer time bus route at the time.

I live in Itä Siitola. To me…

I live in Itä Siitola. There's no bus for me in the morning.
I should be at work at the strawberry patch at 6 o'clock. Now I'm pedaling my bicycle around the corners to the strawberry patch. The roads are not in good condition. It would be good if a car drove by Vuoksi in the morning.

In local transport cars...

In local transport cars, it should be possible to show on the bus signs that the car is full. The congestion on line 3 could be eased, for example, by requiring a trolleybus.

Thanks for the comments and…

Thanks for the comments and feedback!

Next winter's schedule planning has started, and the wishes of the comments on this bulletin will be recorded and taken into account in the planning.

Thanks for the feedback ML! We pass on the feedback to the bus company that it is good to stop and tell them that the bus is full.

Answer to Karu: The schedules of the lines have been adjusted for further connections and schools as well as possible in terms of scheduling. Wishes are written down for further planning.

Reply to Jane: Line 6 was planned after the students of Meltola school moved to Koske school center. That's why the direction of the line is current. The use of this line will also be considered in connection with next winter's schedule planning.

Line schedules could...

The schedules of the lines could be modified a little. You won't make it to work in Jakola on the first bus no. 3 in the morning. Work starts at 7 and the bus is there at 7:05. So you can't go to work on the weekend when the bus doesn't leave until eight o'clock. You also can't get to Karhumäki on weekday evenings after 19:5 on bus no. 7, but it runs longer on weekends. Similarly, if you want to go to work in Kaukopää at 6 o'clock, you have to take an earlier bus, which is already there at XNUMX o'clock. On weekends, the bus doesn't go there until XNUMX o'clock. These schedules do not terribly serve shift workers in those directions.

Why didn't the bus stop at the bus stop on Paper Harjuntie where there is a canopy on 20.1.23 at 7.35:XNUMX? Just drove by, the boys were late for school, thank you driver
In general, the buses are always more than full in the morning..if it was full, you could have stopped, he says..even..

in planning schedules...

when planning the timetables, it would be good to take into account people going to the train station, going to school, work trips with transfers... for example, the central transport should arrive at the station at a certain time,

Line 6 runs in the mornings...

Line 6 goes around in the morning just in the funny direction. You can get from Meltola by bus 4 in the morning, but you would need Vuoksentie in the morning from the direction of Sienimäki to get to the Koske school center. So would it be possible to consider the morning and afternoon runs just the other way around?

According to whose schedules...

According to whose schedules are the morning shifts planned? Mostly, I mean where are they supposed to go? Living in Itä-Siitola, I got a free bus card, but I can't make much use of it. In the morning, you should be in Mansikkala by 8, but the 7.40:8.15 departure from Meltola will not arrive at Joutsenonkatsu until XNUMX:XNUMX. Now that the buses still go around Sinimäki, there is no need to get on that bus. I can't demand that the night shift worker prolongs going home.
You won't even have time for the morning train. I would also like to wish that the timetables could be brought forward by 15 minutes, so that the free tickets could really be taken advantage of.
