The replacement of the library system of the Heili libraries in South Karelia was carried out in early December. Imatra's libraries, which have been closed for about two weeks, will open again on Wednesday 18.12 December.
Rajapatsa's library is open from 10 a.m. and Vuoksenniska's library from 12 p.m. The main library doors open at 9 a.m., and customer service is available from 11 a.m.
- The actual self-service hours, i.e. access to the library with a library card, will be introduced from Wednesday evening, says the library expert Ari Sareslahti from the city of Imatra.
There are differences in the opening of Heili libraries by municipality, so it is worth checking the schedules of each library from the online library.
The new online library is located at www.heilikirjastot.fi. As usual, the online library contains the customer's contact information, loans and reservations, as well as an electronic library card. The same old Heili library cards and their PINs will continue to work. The recording of the loan history starts from the beginning.
If the reservations made were not picked up before the libraries were closed, the customer will receive a new pick-up notification for the reservations on Wednesday, December 18.12. Notification comes primarily by e-mail.
With the new library system, the pick-up number for reservations will change so that each reservation gets its own number.
- Until now, all the customer's reservations have always had the same number. In the future, the pick-up notification messages should therefore be kept and kept with you when you come to apply for reservations, notes Sareslahti.
The weekend self-service hours of the main library and Vuoksenniska library were shortened in the fall. Shorter self-employment hours are available until Epiphany.
In the main library, self-service hours are on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 8 am to 14 pm, and in Vuoksenniska from 7 am to 14 pm. Vuoksenniska does not have self-service time either on Friday evening after the end of service time, i.e. at 16 p.m.

In the newspaper reading room of the main library, you can also read newspapers during closing hours.
In the future, the library will be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 14 p.m.
During the break, which lasts about two weeks, the lending services of Heili libraries, self-service libraries and the online library will be unavailable.
The library closes on Fridays at 16.00 p.m. and there is no self-service time in the library. On weekends, the self-service library is open from 7.00 a.m. to 14.00 p.m.
All library services, including self-service libraries and the online library, will be unavailable 3.-17.12.2024.
