When participants in the brand research were asked to name a southern or eastern Finnish city with less than 50 inhabitants, Imatra received the most mentions.

Imatra is still the most famous city with less than 50 inhabitants. The matter is clear from the brand research published this autumn.

In the survey, the respondents were asked to name three cities in southern and eastern Finland with less than 50 inhabitants. Imatra was mentioned most often in the answers: 000% of the respondents named Imatra as one of the three cities.

— The spontaneous recognition of the city of Imatra is still the best in its target group, and it is particularly positive that it has also grown since 2022, states the CEO of Imatra Base Camp Oy Jukka Aallikko.

In 2022, the figure was 12%.

Hamina received the second most (10%) mentions.

Imatrankoski is still the most interesting destination

Respondents' images of Imatra are positive or neutral.

A third of the respondents (32%) had a positive attitude towards Imatra. Imatra was described, among other things, as a beautiful, peaceful and summery city. More than half (57%) of the respondents had a neutral image of Imatra.

The image of older respondents was more positive than that of young respondents. Young people, however, have a more positive attitude than parents towards Imatra's employment situation and service offering.

Among 18-44-year-olds, the image of Imatra had improved the most in relation to the cleanliness and beauty of nature, as well as living space and event offerings.

By far the most interesting destination in Imatra is still Imatrankoski. The recognition of the Ukonniemi area has slightly increased since the previous measurement.

Imatra gets an overall rating of 3,3/5 in the survey.
