Construction of the Napikulma block as a courtyard and recreation area will begin in April.

During this spring and early summer, the Napinkulma block will be asphalted and planting ponds and yard structures, an art wall, and a balance and sports track will be built in the area. The area will be available at the end of June. 

— However, the area will not be fully completed by then. If the budget allocated for the project this year is still available after the summer, the equipment according to the original plan can be ordered for the area in the autumn, says the land use manager. Erik Forstén from the city.

Construction is tentatively scheduled to start in week 14. The schedule will be finalized after the contractor is selected.

— Currently, a tender for the construction contractor for the block is underway. The request for tender is in the public procurement service, Hilma, and offers must be submitted by 7.3 noon on March 12, says the infrastructure developer Konsta Toikka from Mitra Imatran Rakennuttaja.

The end of the Koskenkulma building will be resurfaced when the asphalting of the area is complete.
