Applications for upper secondary studies begin next week – application period is 17.2–17.3.2026

The results will be published on the Studyinfo service no earlier than 11.6.2026 June.

The average entrance requirement for Imatra's co-educational upper secondary school is 7,0 and there are 120 places available. The average entrance requirement for IB upper secondary school is 7,8 and there are 35 places available. 

The results of the joint application will be published on the Studyinfo service no earlier than 11.6 June. Imatra Joint High School will also send information to those who have been accepted by email. 

– The study place must be accepted no later than June 25.6. The place will be accepted electronically through Studyinfo, says the rector. Johanna Ovaska From Imatra High School. 

At Imatra's coeducational high school, you can combine goal-oriented culture and physical activity with your upper secondary school studies. 

Cultural Academy studies allow for hobbies and practice even during school hours. Each student is given a personal plan for completing courses according to their own genre or instrument and interests. The Academy is implemented in collaboration with Tanssistudio Jami and Virta-opisto. 

For those who are serious about sports, there is also a sports academy maintained by South Karelia Sports and Sports that supports training. 
To apply to the Sports Academy, first apply to a comprehensive high school using the normal application procedure and then fill out an application for the Sports Academy.
