—All the starting places will be filled, because students will definitely come to Imatra from the surrounding areas as well. In addition, there will be applicants for the IB education in a discretionary application, principal Mika Luukkonen says.

Imatra has 9 263th-graders in elementary school. So about 45 percent of the age group applied to upper secondary school .

—The amount is higher than in some previous years. It's great to see that young people are so interested in upper secondary education, head of education and youth Minna Rovio says.

The results of the joint application will be published on Opintopolku service no earlier than June 15.6. Imatra joint upper secondary school also sends a separate letter to those who have been accepted.
