New movie service for Imatra library

Heili libraries, including the Imatra city library, have implemented the Cineast online and mobile streaming service for libraries.

In the Cineast service, you can borrow five movies per month. The movie's loan period is 48 hours, during which time you can watch the movie as many times as you want. The movie is returned automatically after the loan period ends.

- The service was put into use this week, and it can be found, for example, through the Heili online library, says the librarian Jesse Lindstrom from the city of Imatra.

New content is added to the service every week. Movies can be played via a web browser on a TV, smartphone or tablet.

- If necessary, you can get guidance on using the service from the library staff, continues Lindström.

Here's how to get started

1. To use the Cineast service on a computer, go to www.cineast.fi. To use the Cineast service on a tablet or smartphone, download the free Cineast application from the App Store or Google Play services and log in with the application.
2. Select a library.
3. Select a movie.
4. Enter your library card number and PIN code.
   If you don't have a library card, get one online or at your local library.
5. Create a user account (optional).
